Monthly Affiliate Newsletters - November 19, 2008

Dear Valued Partners,

I am sure that many of you, as cutting edge, techno savvy professionals, have all heard of blogs or may even have your very own blog. But did you know that blogs can be a great resource to quickly increase the amount of sales you are doing each month?

Normally when a person searches the Internet, they are looking for a solution to a specific problem, i.e. acne, moles, warts, etc. At first, they are looking for free information (from a credible source) to help them understand their problem further, and recommend available solutions.

If you as a blogger are able to provide this information and do so without trying to sell anything, then chances are the person researching will actually take your advice seriously. Once you have established yourself in their eyes as a credible provider of solid information, then you can more effectively lead them to the solution of their problem, i.e. the link to one of our sites, products, etc.

The reason blogs can work is simple. Before following your advice people want to know who you are and how much knowledge you have on the subject. In other words, the reader wants a compelling reason to listen to you. Therefore sharing your experience on your blog creates an instant affinity and will quickly establish you as an authority in this field. By making informative posts, your readers will listen to you with open minds.

Once a blog reader has satisfied their thirst for free information, and accepted you as an authority on the subject, the recommendation of a product becomes very effective and your conversions to sale ratio will go through the roof.

Another reason blogs are effective is that search engines index blogs faster than any other type of site. Therefore informative posts tend to get higher search engine rankings, and you already know the value of higher search engine rankings!

Utilizing a blog to sell any of our books and products should be part of your marketing plan. I have seen many of our affiliates using this method of promotion with excellent results.

If you have not started a blog, why wait? Today is the perfect time to start one and here are some helpful hints to get you started and make your blog profitable:

1) Blog posts must be original, natural, clear, concise, and to the point. No copied work.

2) The number of people suffering from problems that our program sells products for is very high. So your posts must add more value to the reader’s knowledge.

3) For faster search engine indexation, you must use 2 or more keywords or phrases for your posts.

4) You must post to your blog weekly or at the very least every two weeks. Pick a schedule that works best for you and be consistent.

5) The topic of your blog should be about alternative health solutions, better skin care, or something related to our products. This will assist you to be consistent with the theme of your blog when you are making product recommendations, while allowing you to be able to offer them several products instead of just one.

6) Try to make the design of your blog as uniquely yours as possible. This includes the use of pictures when you post a blog, to give that extra creative touch that will attract visitors to return to your site the next time you release a new post.

7) Consider networking your blog. In other words link your blog with other websites of specific interest. For example; a co-worker of mine has a blog with a variety of postings including knitting, Basset Hounds, herb gardening and other interests. She has completed a free membership to a knitting website which automatically pulls in all of her blog posts.

So individuals who are interested in knitting may also have an interest in Basset Hounds and read those posts as well. This example can work for you in the area of skin care, holistic health, or weight concerns. If you network with them, your blog can be indexed more and your blog will have higher review traffic and potentially more sales.

There are many different types of free software available on the Internet for creating a blog and here are two of the most popular:

1) Wordpress: This is one of the most famous and most preferred blogging software. It is loved by bloggers because of its easy to use features. It is open source software and therefore it has many developers working for it and developing useful plug-ins.

Your first step would be to download this software by visiting this link http://wordpress.org/download. It includes detailed instructions on installing and customizing your blog site. This link also provides an Audio Visual presentation at http://www.optiniche.com/blog/category/wordpress-video-tutorials/?v=wp-install to help you format your blog. Later when you are comfortable with the program you can install various plug-ins as you would like.

2) Blogger.com: Blogger.com is an even simpler way of creating your blog. It is a web-based application and does not require any downloading or installing of software. You simply need to open an account at http://www.blogger.com and you are ready to go. The only drawback with this site is, compared to Wordpress; you do not have as much flexibility in customizing your blog.
